Aisha Jamila Hinds is an American actress best famous for her performances on the TV shows The Shield and True Blood. She has proven her versatility through 2003 when she has delivered outstanding performances on TV shows like 9-1-1 Detroit The Shield, 1-8-7, and Under the Dome. She was first noticed for her role as Anna in the film Assault on Precinct 13. It was however her performance as feminist activist Fannie Lou Hamer in the biographical film All the Way that finally made her an actor. Hind received praise for her performance as Harriet Tubman in WGN America's classic show, the drama Underground. She currently stars on the procedural drama series 9-1-1 in the leading role of firefighter/paramedic Henrietta Hen Wilson. 20th Century Fox Television renewed the show for a fresh season. Hind has recently finished filming the Hollywood film Godzilla: King of the Monsters. It is set to be released in mid-2019.
