Allyson Melissa Felix was birthed in Los Angeles, California on November 18, 1985. She was the daughter of Paul Felix was an ordained minister at the Master's Seminary in Sun Valley and the mother of her child Marlean Felix was a school teacher at Balboa Magnet Elementary School.
